Newbies Lonesome Ray Posted October 9, 2012 Newbies Posted October 9, 2012 I hadn't noticed in our previous testing but when MirrorSync sends data to the MirrorSync server, the dialog shows something like, "transferring to http://myMirrorSyncServer". Since we envision syncing medical records, is there a way to establish an https connection to the MirrorSync server similar to switching to SSL connections in FM Server?
sarah360works Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Hello! Yes, MirrorSync is able to work with SSL connections in FileMaker server. After enabling your server with SSL, simply select the SSL option in MirrorSync on the same screen you selected a database. MirrorSync will then use the secure WPE, and show "transferring to https://" If using a self-signed or non-trusted authority certificate, there will be a couple extra steps to let MirrorSync trust your certification. The instructions on setting up a custom SSL certificate can be found in the documentation. I hope this answers your question. Please let me know if you require anything else!
