can anyone recommend a good basic book, or source on FMP scripting for someone with no scripting experience, and not the sharpest crayon in the box, using FMP 4?

There should be a lot of books for FM 4.1 basic stuff. The titles escape me. Go to amazon.com and do a search. For scripting, the best reference is Scriptology by Matt Petrowsky and John Mark Osborne, www.isoproductions.com.
