Just joined the forums here. Spent most of my time in FMP 10 and finished the Osborn training series. Have a few projects under my belt. I've even done an iterative portal (accomplished with trial and error noob insanity?) but don't recommend doing it again since a pro I hired to help out could not figure it out! I don't understand it myself but the crazy thing works.

I'm pretty strong on HTML 5 and really like the scriptable FTP functions in FMP. For instance, I was able to script FMP to collect orphaned images on an ecommerce site and move them to a directory for the client to deal with. I removed over 100,000 orphaned images from the single directory they were using which sped up image lookups tremendously. They had upgraded their server storage just to accomodate all the ever growing orphaned images. Was able to locate and flag duplicates images, too. Used a 3rd party plug-in for renaming images based on their product spreadsheet (SEO names) but this took many many hours. Then used FMP to create nested image directories which duplicated their category structure so that image lookups stayed fast, URLs included category names, and manual lookups were simplified. Turned out to be a popular FMP app for larger ecommerce sites. I don't know of any other image manager that does all that. That 3rd part app is very expensive and doesn't upgrade so I eventually stopped using it and abandoned my image manager.

I've done some telemarketing apps in FMP 10 and can't wait to see the calendar feature in FMP 12.

Welcome to FMForums! This is the best forum there is thanks to Stephen, folks here are really helpful and version 12 is really exciting. :-)
