kenneth2k1 Posted February 7, 2002 Posted February 7, 2002 Hey All! I was wondering if anyone has ever attended the Windows/Mac Academy FileMaker Boot Camp. It seems to be in my company's budget (as tight as it is). Since the company has bought MacAcademy tools before, we get a $100 rebate (only $499). I consider myself a novice with no formal database theory instruction. I am currently attending the University of Phoenix to get my BSIT, so hopefully one day I will get some general database knowledge. I have made two simple solutions using FM 5.0, so I am able to bump around in it. I would like to know if this boot camp will be useful to me. I am also looking for some feedback on the advantages/disadvantages that the boot camp has. Thanks in advance for any replies! Ken
kenneth2k1 Posted February 14, 2002 Author Posted February 14, 2002 OK, how about this: Has anyone ever attended ANY Mac/Windows Academy training sessions? Thanks Ken
Steven H. Blackwell Posted February 15, 2002 Posted February 15, 2002 Well, I'd be curious about this as well....especially given the fact that I am teaching 4 sessions at their FileMaker Summit next week. Old Advance Man
Macman Posted February 26, 2002 Posted February 26, 2002 Hey! I watched ol' Keith Kiel in the FM 4 tapes (mistakes and all...)
kenneth2k1 Posted February 27, 2002 Author Posted February 27, 2002 Haha MacMan!! That is the exact same CD-ROM set I have! Yeah, he was stuttering alot in it. That series got me started with FM Pro. Ken
kenneth2k1 Posted March 14, 2002 Author Posted March 14, 2002 Hey all! I just got back from this FM boot camp, and you probably won't hear from me for a while because I came out of it with a huge amount of information. I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone. Keith Kiel is an excellent teacher and has overwhelming knowledge about FM. So if the boot camp is coming to your area... then GO TO IT!
