7 day average

I need to create a formula that calculates a 7 day average for the month. That is the total of the first seven days 1-7 then 2-8, 3-9, etc. Can anyone help me?

Need a little more information: Are the day values in separate records? In the same record in different fields? Is the desired result an average for each seven days? An average of averages? Is this to be displayed on a screen or in a report? -bd

Thanks for responding so quickly. Yes each value is in a separate record according to the actual date. The desired result is an average for each seven days and I need to display this in a monthly report.
