Just updated W2K8 server to FMS 12v2 and java to 1.7 and now the plugin will not enable.  "Failure to load" plugin is reported in the FMS logs.

 

Downloaded the newest version of the plugin (1.6.3) - still the same issue.

Deleted all java temp files, disabled java 1.7 from the control panel (still has 1.6.29 and 33) - still the same issue

Rebooted the machine and restarted FMS a few times, no joy.

 

Any ideas?

Here's how I solved it:

 

First tried to disable Java 7 in the Java control panel.  However every time I launched the FMS admin console it would still show the Java 7 flash screen.  So I decided to uninstall Java 7; the Windows control panel showed Java 7 updates 6 and 7, I uninstalled both of those and rebooted the machine.  That left Java 6 updates 29 and 33 on the machine.  Now FMS would load the plugin.

 

Still puzzled why version 1.6.3 of the plugin would not load with Java 7.
