Dear All,

 

While exporting data from FileMaker to MS-Excel 2003 formate, it is very slow.

It is taking more than a half day job for exporting 50000 records from database.

Please let me know, is there another to export data very fast. I need to export data from more 70 tables in Excel, and most of the table containing more than 100000 records in each table.

It would help to see the file. It sounds like it might be exporting based upon a different table occurrence than the layout is based upon. If FM has to fetch the information through several relationships, it can really slow it down. Are some of the fields being exported from related tables? Just as a test create a separate table occurrence of that table , switch to a layout based upon that layout and manually select same fields and export. Is it as slow? Are you exporting unstored calculations? What does your script look like?
