I am using FileMaker 10.

The script that is causing problems is the open and create folder script. An example is a script that will open a jpg file in PhotoShop. Before the upgrade (from 10.6 to 10.8)  it worked perfectly. Now when I start the script I get the spinning beach ball and than the script times out with error code $$-1712 (time out).

Could this be a permissions issue in Mountain Lion?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I also tried a demo version of FileMaker 12 and tried the LaunchandReveal solution and get the same time out error.

Thanks in advance - Sam

Yes,

Upgrade the plugin's to the latest versions. We had to do the same and everything started working again.

Thank you Joost.

I had updated the Troi File Plug-in to 6.1.1 and have tried two scripts in their solutions folder: CreateFolder - this worked, LaunchAndReveal - this did not work and I got the time out error code $$-1712.

Which version of Filemaker are you using? I have tried to run the scripts from both FM 10 and FM 12 and was able to create folders but not launch folders or files (time out error).

Any insight you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Troi has been very unhelpful telling me they were working on another project and would get back to me some time in the future.

Thanks again - Sam

I was hoping that someone would know if there was a difference in the way Mountain Lion deals with file paths compared to Snow Leopard. The scripts I mentioned in previous posts worked fine in Snow Leopard, but now give me a time out error. Script debugger does not give me any usable information.

Thanks in advance - Sam
