Search multiple databases

I would like to search for records in multiple databases, and have the results from all the different databases displayed in one porthole.

Any Ideas!

What is a porthole? Oh, portal! wink.gif

You can write a script that accesses find scripts in each file you desire to search. To have the results display in a single portal, you will have to create a related file used just for the portal display. In this "Display" file, you will need to get the results of the search into records either by copying or setting an index to a relationship to cause the values to appear in the display database.

If you a searching a bunch of databases which are essentially copies of each other (say with records over different periods of time), you might consider combining the records in a single file, it's much easier to search. -bd
