LiveOak Posted September 28, 2000 Share Posted September 28, 2000 What is a porthole? Oh, portal! You can write a script that accesses find scripts in each file you desire to search. To have the results display in a single portal, you will have to create a related file used just for the portal display. In this "Display" file, you will need to get the results of the search into records either by copying or setting an index to a relationship to cause the values to appear in the display database. If you a searching a bunch of databases which are essentially copies of each other (say with records over different periods of time), you might consider combining the records in a single file, it's much easier to search. -bd Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
