I have created a project management DB which allows me to create invoices at the end of each project.

However I would like to be able to Invoice Partial stages.(during the project)

My problem is as follows,

How can I track and manage partial Invoice values and put the right mechanics in place to alert if the total invoice has been reached etc.

Make an intermediate related database for invoices?

maybe a "Line_items" scenario for Invoices?

I now have another problem with Portals.

The Line_items for the estimate is working well however I have included an option to enter a record which shows when a Part Invoice has been issued.the amount entered is a negative so that it subtracts itself from the final Invoice.

However I'm having difficulty in showing the remaing amount to be invoiced as the Total should only show items after the last part invoice.

any ideas? cheers

my fields are InvoiceToDate, InvoiceRemain, InvoiceTotal (all)
