SC 2.864 makes FMP12.03 crash on MacOSX10.6.5

Featured Replies

Adding the SC plugin to the user/.../FMP/Extensions folder makes FP12 crash when it is the re-opened.

These machines have Java update 12 (OSX10.6.5 will not download update 13) and it keeps crashing when FMP is opened.

This is tested on several machines.

Do I need to downgrade java for this?

Solved this issue: SC plugin was conflicting with a plugin that was placed in an earlier version of FMP12.

The extensionfolder in FMP12.03 now includes the version number

old : ~Users/username/Library/ApplicationSupport/Filemaker/Extensions/

new : ~Users/username/Library/ApplicationSupport/FilemakerPro/12.0/Extensions/

Removing the SC plugin from the older folder was the trick.

This occurs only when there are other filemaker versions active (OSX10.7).
If FMP12 is the only version the path is

~Users/username/Library/ApplicationSupport/Filemaker/Extensions/

On OSX 1.8 the path is

~Users/username/Library/ApplicationSupport/FilemakerPro/12.0/Extensions/

even when this is the only FMP version present
