Okay, version 12 will be on ipad and iphone also and I have separated model. 

 

I have 15 icons I use for various buttons.  Is it best to:

 

1. store them in container so server has to pass them down to people (easier for changing icons later but they probably won't change).
2. paste them onto each layout as a layout object so they do not have to be downloaded but are part of the layout (will take more work if we decide to change one).
3. Use a file on each station to hold these icons and maybe other stuff which doesn't change.

I have read enough to really confuse myself but nothing that specifically says the best way.  I have the company logo in a container in the Interface file.  My top priority is speed of the system.  This will be FMS12 properly served with 6 people but eventually will have 45.  I appreciate any time you can take to help me.

The "risk" with storing icons in container fields is that they will all be lost when a clone is made of the file. This may render the clone unusable!

 

Things that may change or the use might might to customise are best in container fields.
