View all records within a portal ?

using filemaker pro 11

I created a working portal that  views INVENTORY items.

Using a VENDER field I was able to get the to portal show only related records. (based on venders).  The VENDER field is a drop down, value list, of venders.

In addition to viewing inventory items for each vender, is there a way to view all of the inventory items regardless of vender.  In other words .. is there a "view all records / command J" function for the portal.

let me know if you need more specific information.

Usually not a good idea to do that, it has the potential of really slowing your solution down.  Why not take the user to a regular list where you have full control?

I was trying to create a single form layout that would give an overview to various aspects of the inventory.  The users will often be new to filemaker.  I may have been "over designing" it and certainly not worth a loss of speed.  I will stay with a regular list approach.

Thanks so much for your input.
