(Help)How to calculate the markup percentage

help me im new at filemaker and i want know how to calculate these fields 

 

Example

100 the other fields should be 110

 

I need two fields for this

Cost and Cost Markup Percentage

HI,

 

You will actually need three fields. You didn't provide much detail at all, so I'm guessing on field names here, but you will need fields for:

• priceWholesale- a number field
• markupPercent - a number field
• priceRetail__c- a calculation field, with the calculation set to priceWholesale+ markupPercent * priceWholesale

 

Note that you will have to enter your percent as a decimal, e.g. .10 instead of 10%. If you prefer to be able to enter the value as a percent, there are ways to do that; one way would need to create a very simple custom function. I can provide details if you like.

 

Also, it's common practice (but not universally followed) to use camelCase for naming your fields, and to append __c to calculation fields and __s to summary fields, so they're easier to identify.
