I dont seem to be able to alter the external storage location. The pull down menu is always just one uneditable location  - Also this location uses the name of a previous database (which was copied and modified for the new use).

 

I tried renaming the folder but that didn't help.

 

Any thoughts?

Found the answer - In FILE>>manage>> containers. The third place can change the action of a container.
