trying to create a rental/sign out/in template..??

Hi there folks..

I am new to the FM Forums ...but I thought this would be a good place to get some help on a tricky project I am starting

Story so far:

I have created a little database with over 200 entries. This database is an inventory of video tapes ...it has fields such as title, tape number, format, location, and a notes section (detailed listing of programs on each tape).

What I would like to create is a simple sign out/in template that would work with this database to I can have fellow workers and students be able to sign out, and back in the tapes they borrowed...is this possible??

The fields I would only need for this new template would be...name, student number, sign out date, date due, title of tape and tape number, and current date ..

Can I get some help on this?? how can I make these relate to each other?? is there a shareware/freeware template like this out there already?? how do the calculations work to figure out the due date..

Any info would be appreciated..thanks very much in advance..

Take care

mike

Can anyone out there help me with this???

Any ideas ??

Thanks in advance..

Take care,

mike

If nobody replies it's often because:

1) nobody that reads the Forums has the knowledge; or

2) it's a big, complicated task that needs a consultant there on the spot.

Reason 1 is fairly uncommon on the Forums. Reason 2 happens more often.

I'd suggest that yours is a number 2.
