Posting Errors

Apologies , this is probably not the place to put this but I keep getting the following message when posting new topics to this forum:

Sorry, we do not permit this HTML tag: Parenthesis in HTML tag

Can someone tell me why!!

The error is common when you're using a greater or less than symbol, usually in conjunction with parentheses. Try using one of the "Instant Graemlins" (below where you type your reply).

Or, what some folks do is use {brackets} or [braces] -- did I mix those up? -- instead of (parentheses).
