Hello All,

Little question: Main database has a field called selling date. I have a portal which displays a database also containing dates and an calculation field that subtracts the two dates.

The problem is that when i change the selling date in the main database the portal doesn't recalculate the calculation field unless i go one record forward and back.

Can anyone tell me how to autoupdate the calculation field in the other database?

This is a pretty standard "feature" with FileMaker. I generally use Enter Preview Mode/Enter Browse Mode for refresh, but it does have to be triggered sometimes. You can put the user in a loop with a 1 second pause/refresh while on this layout. Not a lot of good solutions.
