Can Filemaker determine user's Java version?

Featured Replies

We have users in remote locations and when we encounter problems with SuperContainer it is sometimes because their Java version is not up to date, even when they think it is up to date.

Like Filemaker can tell if a user is on a Mac or PC, what Filemaker version they are using...  is there a way Filemaker can tell what Java version a user is running?

I don't believe there is a direct way in FileMaker to determine the user's version of Java. The best you can do is refer them to instructions on how to identify their version (official FileMaker instructions) and compare it to the version available at java.com.

You could probably do it with the ScriptMaster plugin.
