iFrames with webdirect

From our initial tests, it seems to simply be a matter of making the iframe source your WebDirect address. Some things to note, however:

A) To make a form on your website, as you describe, you'll have to allow open access (as in, a default login with no password). This is of course a security risk, as described in other WebDirect threads, but it can be mitigated by carefully limiting what data resides in your form database, and what security privileges that default login is set with.

B) We've found that WebDirect does some strange things in (of course) IE, when in an iframe. Most of this can be mitigated if the WebDirect server is the same as the frame server, but if you are embedding into WordPress this might not be the case. Experiment with it anyways, particularly with closing the page and reopening it, opening the same page in multiple tabs, etc.

I was just trying this and couldn't get it to work. It seems from other forums that Server 13.v05 broke the ability to embed WebDirect and there is no work around.

So if your site depends on embedded WebDirect I wouldn't upgrade past v4.

It may work if the webpage is on the same server as the FM server as it sets 'X-Frame-Options' to 'SAMEORIGIN'.
