Newbies DGregory Posted July 13, 2000 Newbies Posted July 13, 2000 I've put together a 'discussions' db to keep track of talks I have with various co-workers etc. I've setup 4 sets of fields of first names, last names, extensions & emails. I'm using lookups to fill in the first names, emails and extensions, once the last names are added, and the last names are in a pulldown from another username db. That all works fine, *but* what I'd *like* to do now, is to search all lastname fields with without having to fill 4 find records. I'm trying to write a script that goes to find mode, lets me fill in a last name, and then automaticlly creates 3 additional find requests duplicating the given lastname into the additional fields of lastname2 lastname3 and lastname3. I haven't been able to get the script to run. Alternatively, is there any easier way to do this? Thanks!
Newbies DGregory Posted July 13, 2000 Author Newbies Posted July 13, 2000 Guess I lept too soon. I think I've managed to solve my problem by adapting the answer that was posted to wcann's post on May 10th, concerning search criteria into a field for reference.
