No way out peeves me!

You click a button ... in any program ... and find yourself with no way out.  Sometimes it is small irritation and sometimes it is major issue.  I do not think anything POs me more because it shows a lack of consideration for the User and poor planning.

I just opened FMS13 but I realised I already had it open.  I was not given a Cancel button or close widgets on the window so  I had to proceed and open a second console.  A few weeks ago, I was stuck in a similar FM dialog where it provided a BACK button but going back hit a similar dead-end.

Sure.  I can force quit etc but we as developers should provide escape routes to help protect Users from themselves and once you are aware of that shortcoming, you will see it happening far too often.  I am perfect example of someone who starts something then ...
