Newbies jrjr Posted April 5, 2001 Newbies Posted April 5, 2001 wow, this forum is really great! i am new to web design and have a pretty basic question. when creating buttons in photoshop, is there a way to insert them, or save them, or edit the html, so that the load time of my page is not soooo long. i notice these fancy sites with all these crazy images with very fast load times. any help is greatly appreciated!
Vaughan Posted April 6, 2001 Posted April 6, 2001 If they are GIF, limit ther number of colours, then adapt/modify the pallet to just the necessary colours.
yafreax Posted April 6, 2001 Posted April 6, 2001 what version of Photoshop. . . Starting with 5.5, there is a "Save for web option" where you can set all levels easily. # of colors, transparency, interlacing, lossy, dither, quality, etc. Also, Image Ready by Adobe has been packaged with Photoshop since 5.0 i think. And though Image Ready can do a whole boat load of things, it too can compress images to make the graphics smaller in size. good luck jeremy
