wow, this forum is really great!

i am new to web design and have a pretty basic question. when creating buttons in photoshop, is there a way to insert them, or save them, or edit the html, so that the load time of my page is not soooo long. i notice these fancy sites with all these crazy images with very fast load times.

any help is greatly appreciated!

what version of Photoshop. . . Starting with 5.5, there is a "Save for web option" where you can set all levels easily. # of colors, transparency, interlacing, lossy, dither, quality, etc. Also, Image Ready by Adobe has been packaged with Photoshop since 5.0 i think. And though Image Ready can do a whole boat load of things, it too can compress images to make the graphics smaller in size.

good luck
