Sharing FM 11 & 12 at same time

This may be a trivial question, but I'm stumped. I'm running FMP 11 & 12 on the same machine. Both apps have sharing enabled. Is it possible to have both apps share at the same time? I keep getting the message that 'sharing' is already in use by another app. My guess is that I have to restrict my sharing to one version at a time.

  any comments are appreciated

They both use the same data port (5003) so whichever starts up first grabs it, the 2nd app can not share.
