Can I prevent/change button highlight

I found a method for doing just this at layoutmode.com. In FileMaker you make a transparent graphic the same size and shape of your button. Center this over your old button and assign the button function to the new graphic. Now only the shape of the transparent graphic is highlighted on button click.

Good luck, Peter

I would like to employ a tabbed look to switch between layouts.

While my tabs are trapezoidal, when I assign a button task to them the highlight that flashes when they are pressed is rectangular and doesn't look very good.

Is there a way to turn off the highlight or to make it conform to irregularly shaped objects.

Regards, Tom

A other way is to draw all the objects (buttons, icons, tabs...) with the FileMaker drawing tools.

Take a look at my web site, on pages "buttons" and "MacOS X look" to see how to do.

Thanks, Peter B. and Jean-Marie. Both your answers were helpful.
