Corey Ballantoni
Is there any way to make a field that is divided into sections so that when the form is used each section can only be edited by the authorized person depending on there log in password. Corey Ballantoni
I am trying to get around making 50 fields and having to arrange them on the layout. I want to try to make one large column of boxes, which I can do by turning on the text baselines in one field, but I want it so that they can only type on the baseline they are authorized to by locking them out from the rest. Hopefully that makes it more clear.
Newbies mrpc Posted August 2, 2000 Newbies Share Posted August 2, 2000 Your question is still a little muddy? have you though of duplicating the layout and then locking the fields you do not want accessed in the original layout and making this layout accessable to normal user via password and the copied layout would be fully accessable according to the say creator/administrator via password hope this helps you some! Vaughan
No. You cannot "split" fields. I think you may need to re-think you data model and come up with a way of using records instead of fields. records can be "hidden" by finding and sorting.
