When printing a report in Filemaker 5, if a field stretches to over a page the text in that field can be split over the two pages. This means that you get the top half of the text from one line on one page, and the bottom half of the text from that same line on the next page. The report has approx. 30 records, each being anything up to two pages long. I know that there was an unsupported feature in Filemaker 4.1 which got around this problem, does anyone know how to get around it in Filemaker 5?

The same way! The little hidden Option-Layout Setup switch still works in FMP5.

I have FMP5v2, and when I option-select Layout Setup I don't get the extra page break feature. I was told that Filemaker removed it and built it in to FM5, but I still seem to have the problem. Any ideas?

okay, so i was an idiot and just made a new post to this question because my search wasn't very thorough. i'm not usually that absent-minded. however, i'm stumped on the solution. what "option select"? can someone be more specific?
