I am looking into integrating the APIs provided by my courier service, Interlink, into Filemaker. To start at the beginning, is this actually possible? According to Interlink, their APIs will allow the tracking of the parcels we send within a client's website. This feature within Filemaker could prove invaluable within our database. However, there is little to be found online about Filemaker with APIs. Are we talking about a custom function? Clearly, I am immensely out of my depth, so any advice is most welcome.

Thanks

Eric

There's plenty of information about integrating filemaker around...

Looking at their API, it's a straight-forward web-service (https://www.concordsoftwareleasing.com/interlinkservices/Admin.asmx?op=GetSessionToken)

That should  give you an an addition search term to search for.

First thing to check out is whether you can use the "insert from URL" script step in FM.  In 13 you can do HTTP POST in case their web service requires it.

There are definitely plugins that you can use if you want to go that way.  The free BaseElements plugin does some nice web interaction for instance.
