Interactive Container problem

I am trying to use an interactive container to preview a PDF file, except it is giving the expected result. When I navigate to this layout it opens the PDF in Adobe Reader, rather than previewing it in the container field. I used the Insert PDF function. Previewing of video files works as expected though.

Am I missing something?
