I agree with the big about using FileMaker for 15 years even if it went out of business tomorrow. After years spent in direct marketing, where I needed programmers to set up and run databases, I started work for a small charity, bought Filemaker Pro 2.2, and set up their first database. That ran for seven years while we quadrupled in size - I tweaked it from time to time but didn't dare upgrade - "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Finally, last year I broke down and upgraded to 5.0 so I could build in relational features.

Now I've started for a new small charity with 5.5, I just wish there was a little more support available for amateurs like me, people with the user version, not developer. What would be really nice would be to see the databases others have made and would be willing to share ... in cloned form, or with a few dummy records, of course. (I'd be happy to share mine.) Does this sort of thing exist anywhere? Or have I spent too long in Macland, and become naive?
