Email Plugin Compatibility with FMS13 on Mac

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm attempting to install Email plugin v2.03 on a Mac server, however, when installed into the extensions folder (Library/FileMaker Server/Database Server/Extensions/), the plugin doesn't show up in the admin console. And, if the server is booted with the plugin in place, FMS won't start at all.

So, the question is: will this plugin work with a Mac running 10.9.5, Java 7 update 71 (the latest as of today), FMS 13.01 (yeah, it needs to be updated)?

Any other thoughts or suggestions are surely welcomed!

Cheers!

Not sure what your end goal is but if you are familiar with php you might want to consider something like Mandrill.

filemaker --> php.fx --> mandrill

- 12k free message a month

- no worries about getting black listed

- open and click reports

- add custom tags

- on and on..

You can even link mandrill and mailchimp together, that way you can use a mailchimp responsive template to HTML messages. Can't say enough.

rivet,

Thanks for the suggestion, and I will consider it. I'm using Mandrill for some other projects, and you're right, it's pretty killer. If you haven't read Daniel Wood's awesome blog post on using Mandrill, you should check it out.

In this case, my client already owns and uses the 360works email plugin, so I'm simply trying to expand their current use.
