Is there a way to export or save data in a relationship? I have a file with data from relationships from the children. Can I save that file with the data in tact?

I'm not sure I completely understand the question.

Are you concerned that the data will change while it's still in the database, or are you trying to save the information in some form outside the database?

Once the relationship is created between the two files and the data is entered, it's there until you change it. Is something crazy happening with your database?
