Newbies justinm Posted February 12, 2015 Newbies Posted February 12, 2015 I am using Filemaker 13 and a CRM solutions from FM starting point. When entering a new project, the account lookup fails. THere is a blank line in the account list, and when I select an account, the item AFTER my selection is put in the field. When I look at my accounts table, there is no blank record. What is up.

When doing a search for a contact to add to a project, you're actually in find mode you're not you're not looking at a blank record. So at that point just type in a matching name for the contact you're looking for. I know this isn't totally intuitive andand I am working on making this more simple with the next release of FM starting point.Actually doing the search this way with a find command is by far the fastest thing you can do when searching for contacts especially with the database if you're accessing it across the Internet from a FileMaker server.
