rivet Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I am trying to find method for reducing a PDF Currently I have a script that export a PDF to the temp folder and then attaches that file to an email. I was thinking I could add a AppleScript step in between to reduce the file first.
Rick Whitelaw Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Try using Quartz to reduce file size. Make a workflow out of the process and save it as an app. This achieves an amazing amount of reduction. I find it works great on text based PDF files. I wouldn't use it on complex color documents such as a doc with a photo embedded. Quartz is part of OS X.
