I'm trying to create a report that will use the Trailing Grand Summary the a background color.

The issue is that I'm having issue controling what the size is. When the report is generated and the part will use the entire rest of the sheet.

 

Like all things in Filemaker their should be another way to approach this.

Any ideas?

One way to do this is to format the entire part (or parts) in the background color you want rather than drawing a colored box. You can then always overlay elements that have their own unique background color.

 

To format the background color of a part, click its label in Layout mode and assign the properties you want.
