Multiple items in Pop-Up Lists!

Featured Replies

Used to be a power user of FileMaker years ago, but since 3.0 have drifted off into part unknown which leaves me with a problem I cannot now easily solve in 5.0. Have created a pop-up list containg 30 items for ease of entry and to control search element criteria. I now find that two or more of the items in the list are required to show up in the field. How do I get the FM5.0 to do this without adding composite items to the list? Can it be done?

Thanks

Is a checkbox not an option?

Hi,

Don't think so. Well Maybe!

We are building a DB for a complex Font WEB site in FileMaker due to its ease of use, and availability for many staff to access, but for ultimate porting to MYSQL.

The situation is that many font families have dozens of font styles eg Extra Condensed, Condensed, Regular, Extended, Extra Extended styles of Thin, Thin Italic, Book, Italic, Bold, Bold Italic, Black, Black Italic etc etc. When the list contains each of the above it could be that a specific fontis: <Font Name> Extended, Book, Italic.

To achieve this one would have to select 3 items from the list or check 3 checkboxes in one field. :??

Hold "shift" while selecting items in list for multiple selection.
