Is it possible to search a pdf document within an interactive container field or within a "supercontainer" without exporting the document?  And then  have the pdf within the container scroll to the found text?

I can see where this utility would be very handy to have.  Unfortunately, FileMaker doesn't have that kind of capability, yet.

Not natively, however there are tools that can extract any OCR recognizable text from a PDF file.  You could then add that to an indexable field in Filemaker that could be searched.  I don't know how reliable it would be however...
