AndrewBruno Posted May 9, 2002 Posted May 9, 2002 I want to print address labels for a mailing on A4 size sheets, which have 2 columns of 5 labels, WITHOUT ANY BORDERS. I'm having real problems getting the size of the body right so that the fields print within the label borders. I know that my Panasonic lable printer will have an unprintable area at the top of the sheet and this would be easy if the label sheet had a top and bottom border. Any suggestions appreciated.
Vaughan Posted May 9, 2002 Posted May 9, 2002 What do you mean by borders? Do you mean a margin of white; or black lines surrounding the fields?
AndrewBruno Posted May 19, 2002 Author Posted May 19, 2002 I thought that I had replied - many apologies. I mean margin rather than border ! Thanks, Andrew
DykstrL Posted May 20, 2002 Posted May 20, 2002 Every printer has unprintable areas. There is no way around this. Printing on label sheets without borders will be a series of compromises (left column lables shifted right and right column lables shifted left, etc...). If you define the printer in Print Setup, then in Layout Mode, Go to Layout Setup and click Fixed Page Margins, it will default the margins to the maximum printable area for that printer. Then under View, select Page Margins, it will shade the unprintable areas of the layout. The best way around this that I know is to use label sheets that have a border, then set the Fixed Page Margins to the borders on the sheet.
