Is it possible to include field names when exporting records? This would streamline the process of importing records into my accounting software. Thanks.

Yes. The method depends upon the export format you need. If you can use DBF format, field names are included in the format. Beware, DBF truncates text fields at (I think) 256 characters. Another option is to make type the field names into the corresponding fields in the first record, if you are using a Tab-Text format.
