Harry Catharell
We have just finished setting up a test server for a client MirrorSync is installed using the 'free' version inclusive of a single client We foresee multiple device licenses being purchased once testing has proven it so, when extra devices are purchased would we simply need to update the current 'free' license key for MirrorSync in order to activate the extra devices or would we need to perform a new install ? Cheers Harry
Jesse Barnum
Yes, that's correct. Go to the licensing section in the admin panel and click 'Increase license limits'. There's no new license key or update to install. I'm checking into your other report about the internal vs external IP address for downloading; hopefully will get you an update today. Harry Catharell
Apologies - I've just thought of one potential curved ball - We have the test install originally registered to 'MaJic' but would want the final solution to be registered to the client's name What would be do in this instance ? Jesse Barnum
You can't change the registered to name - go ahead and get a new free license key in your client's name and replace your existing license key with the new one.
Harry Catharell
Hi Jesse As a heads up, the client is going ahead with a Mirrorsync deployment and they will be buying an 'unlimited' license direct from 360Works webstore The client's name is The Appointment Group and please feel free to contact me if there are any queries regarding them or the purchase They will probably go towards a multi server deployment as well - either now or at some point soon So all is good to go Thanks for all of the help during testing and implementation and will be back if any issues rear their ugly heads :-) Cheers Harry
Jesse Barnum
Harry, that's terrific. Glad I could help, and thanks for being patient when I sometimes needed to tweak things!
Harry Catharell
Client has asked the question regarding having two solutions on a single server in future They would have two solutions (hubs) hosted on a single server with two clients (spokes) being distributed Could this work on a single server configuration ? Cheers Harry
Jesse Barnum
Yes, this is a completely normal supported configuration. You just purchase an additional configuration. Once you've done that, you'll be able to use the regular 'add configuration' button in MirrorSync admin.
