bbaliner Posted May 20, 2002 Posted May 20, 2002 Hi developers, Forgive my ignorance, I have never implemented any runtime solutions before. I am thinking about it, though, because I need to minimize user access and tempering with layouts/scripts for this one. 1. Reporting solution must be based on our dynamic databases, so if I create a runtime, will it not be static? 2. Having an FMP installed is not an issue (this is not why I'm thinking runtime). An issue is limitting access to layouts/scripts without changing privileges in main databases. But again, will the runtime solution feed on NEW data entered into the main databases AFTER the creation of this runtime. Thanks for your thoughts. BB
DykstrL Posted May 20, 2002 Posted May 20, 2002 Runtime solutions are single-user only and cannot share or open shared databases such as on a FM Server. Strictly stand alone.
