Newbies Tim Hall Posted June 4, 2015 Newbies Posted June 4, 2015 I just started using Filemaker 14 Advanced, and in the script editor (with the Scriptmaster 4 plugin already installed) I do not see any way to add any of the enabled modules to a script.
john renfrew Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 http://static.360works.com/plugins/SCRIPTMASTERPLUGIN/documentation.html There a couple of ways to do this, but you 'load/register' them, and then they appear as an external function, the one below the custom functions, and normally you set a variable (or field) to the result.
Newbies Tim Hall Posted June 4, 2015 Author Newbies Posted June 4, 2015 I did load/register them (I thought).. The new layout for the script editor threw me off at first; but I finally was able to find the modules I had enabled. The script editor doesn't display custom or external functions in the editor - not until you first tell it to set a field or variable; and then the custom and external function options do appear in the set field/variable parameter area. This makes sense, but was hiding from my view, ..until I figured it out. It's just the new way the editor works.. which threw me. Now though.. I am trying (before I attempt to build the auto-sequencing playlist) to just add an audio player container field that reads the mp3 file from a directory in my local file system. In other words, I am not embedding the mp3 in the Filemaker container itself. All my audio files must live outside the filemaker solution. Here is a 3 minute movie 'to show what I'm working with.
Newbies Tim Hall Posted June 4, 2015 Author Newbies Posted June 4, 2015 Okay - I figured it out (sort of) 'by using the web viewer instead of a container field. Here's a 1.5 min movie update 'showing how I did it. Next, I will work on implementing a playlist feature, and will report on those results once it's done.. here.
