Hi,

On a couple of occasions, a user (different users before you ask :-) has clicked the URL link provided to download a spoke file to an iPad and when choosing to open the downloaded file in FileMaker Go is given the FileMaker error that the file is corrupt

This is straight after the download and at the point that it has tried to be opened on the iPad

On investigation, the file received is approx half the size of the actual spoke (roughly 8.5 MB instead of 17MB) so it is obviously 'missing' something or a portion of its whole - perhaps at point of compression - although the download file does have a 'fmp12' extension and shows the FM file icon

Has anyone come across this issue before, is it a known & reported problem and is there any preventative medicine that I can apply to stop it happening ?

Cheers

Harry, if I could see your logs, I should be able to determine what exactly is going on here. Could you submit a bug report from your MirrorSync splash page?

Thanks

Hi Evan

The last time this happened was several days ago ( 27 May, I believe without checking )

Will the log still contain data that you need ?

Cheers

No, today's logs won't have that information, but if you have a fairly new version of MirrorSync (2.4+), there will be a "Log Date" field where you can choose a previous day's logs. If your version of MirrorSync is older than that feature, you can grab the logs manually out of the /Library/360Works/Applications/logs/ or C:\Program Files\360Works\Applications\logs\ directory and email them to [email protected]
