Just an FYI - not sure I seen this posted before.

In the past on Mac you could use the eyedropper to pickup the color of an object regardless if it is on the layout or off the side of the layout.

With 14 and the new color picker that is x platform the color picker will also inherit the color of the object including the same percentage of screening that objects on the left of layout. (or what you see is what you get )

This tool is using probably standard OS level resources to pick colors vs FMP picking from the objects css, as does the format painter would.
