Harry Catharell Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 A client has reported that the time to run an initial sync has increased from 9 minutes to 14 minutes Outside of the obvious reason of 'more data' could there be any contributing factors that could cause this? There have been: No changes in schema to be synced No major increase in total record footprint No changes to the FM Server Interestingly, this has happened since I reported a licensing error on ticket ID 12576 (which has been resolved) Any advice for things to check and review gratefully accepted Cheers Harry
Jesse Barnum Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 The server log file has very detailed reporting on how long each sync operation takes, so we'll need to get that. Use the 'send problem report' to send us the server log file from the date when the slow sync occurred. Be sure to include the time that the sync ran so that we can locate it in the log. If you're not sure about the date or time, then reproduce the problem or wait for it to happen again and then file the problem report.
Harry Catharell Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 Thanks Jesse I'll have to review how to manage this as the sync time has consistently been greater over the last 5 or so working days I'll need to qualify things with the users and get detailed timescale for the differences occurring Leave this with me and I'll see what I can do Harry
