Hi!

I am trying to build a database and instead of pasting the whole huge image into the database, I want to paste a thumbnail onto my database, & then make it so that when I click on the thumbnail, it opens up the actual picture in a new window. I want my picture to be in a separate folder and not increase the size of the database.

I am using Mac OS 9.2

I am completely illiterate as far as FMP is concerned and I would appreciate it if you can explain everything in minute details.

Thanx!

We have done exactly what you want to do for one of our clients. We have built a 250,000 image capable system to replace hard copies of photos.

Use the Troi File plug-in to create the thumbnail. Import a reference to an image for the second view (also using Troi File). If you are not FM experienced at all, this isn't hard, but it's not exactly a first day you open the FM box project. If you have a serious business need you might want to have a consultant help you. If this is for personal or low bucks use, get more FM literate before you visit this project.
