Finding referenced picture on a network

A Windows client has the FMP files on one computer, but does most of the work from another computer on the network (each computer has its own copy of FMP).

When importing a pic into a container field by creating a link to that pic, then closing and reopening the files, the client can only see the pic if the file is opened on the "server" computer. They can't even see the pic on the computer on which the work was done.
