  1. Thanks, but I would rather have a script solution that checks the already billed items and in case they are identical they add in quantity I'm not so advanced to handle such a script. Some help is welcome. Thanks , Nikos

Hi All, I have a repairs and spare parts invoicing system that works fine but what I would like to have is a way to group similar products on my final invoice Example : In the repair process I need some M8 screws on day one Then on day three I need the same M8 screws that I enter in the Invoice. I get a new line each time an Item is added which is normal. Is there a way to detect an existing product on the Invoice and automatically add to it the similar one ? I hope my explanation is clear Nikos
  3. Hi, All I' trying to implement a solution that manages Insurance Contracts that are considered as Proposition at a first stage. The number of insurances choice is 6. Every unique choice generates a proposition that will be sent to the client for approval. Now , I have a portal showing the Insurances id and Name in a drop down list of the 6 choices. What I would like is : Once a choice is made, not to be able to add a second choice or modify the choice, that was entered in the Portal, in the first place. Can some one please help me out with a detailed description of what has to be done? Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays. Nikos
  4. Hi All, I have a database with: Customers, Invoices Invoice Line Items,History, History LineItems to which I added "Vendors" (or Brokers). What I need to know is, what kind of relationship should connect the Vendors (Cllaborateurs) on Fig. Contracts DB and the Contacts table. Do I have to implement a Vendor Line Item. Sorry I'm kind of new here and I don't really get the relationship thing. Attached Contracts DB
  5. Hi All, I have a simple DB with contacts and insurance contracts that have an ending date. What I would like to do is to trigger a search that will look at the ending dates and give me an alert for the latter minus 30 days. Example: John Hardy's Contract ends on January 15th 2011. I would like to have it appear as a result of my search so I can send him his new contract. That's the general idea. A simple and clear script would be nice. Could somebody help please. Thanks
  6. Hi, I would like to know how I can send my IWP published database to the Company's Intranet address = "http://intranet.company.com" What kind of settings do I have to use ? Is the intranet IP used by default as localhost,when I install the FM Server advanced on the Company's Server ? Sorry I'm new in IWP and Intranet Thanks Nick

  8. Hi, I 'll try to be more clear. The FMServer advanced has IWP enabled and the localhost is running fine. On the client machine I open a database from the Server. If I want to publish it on the Web Server, I have to give it "extended privileges" to access it via IWP. Then under the menu: File> sharing> instant web publishing , I have a frame where I enable the IWP. On the lower left part of the IWP frame , I should have the file that is open listed . In my case there is no file listed but, when I enable the IWP radio button and close the dialog box, the file is added to the Web Browser home page. I hope this time you have the info to study the case. Thanks to all of you. Nikos
  9. Hi, All Here's my setup Win Server 2003 SP2 with FM Server 11 advanced with IWP enabled. Win XP machine with FM pro 11 advanced. When I open a file with FM pro via remote dialog and when I want to publish it, I get the settings Box but the file won't show where the Open Files list is. I check the file as IWP and when I open the Home page in the Web Browser the file is there in the list. I need some clear explanations because I have to make a Demo meeting with a client. One info that might help. All my DB was prepared on a Mac OSX and then uploaded on the win Server, can that be a cause? Thanks for replying ASAP Nikos

  11. Hi All, I have an XP SP3 machine with FM 11 advanced I created a Virtual Server machine with VMWare workstation and installed Win Server 2008 standard. I then installed the FMS advanced 11 and in the setup I chose the IWP with One Machine option. The problem starts at this point: I get a message saying that the Web Server connection failed. If I skip the Web Server setup I don't see my FMS IP in my FM advanced remote files . If I don't setup the IWP at all, I can see the Server's IP but no Datafiles available on the right side of the table. So, I can't connect to the Database in both cases. Can anyone please give some step by step advice on how to setup the Win 2008 Server ? PS with Mac OS LEO no such problem.
  12. Hi All, I just finished a migration of different databases from fp5 to fp7 on a FM Server 11.xx. Everything is rolling just fine. I just want to know if there is a way to hide all the database files in the remote window, except the" Main Menu.fp7" that is the starting point of all users. By doing that, I would like to avoid confusion for the beta users. Thanks for replying Nick
  13. Hi All, I'm new here and I looked in the different Forums for this problem. I'm trying to install a FMS 11 adv. on a PC with XP SP3 , I get a message saying that "this app. cannot install on this machine". Any comments or a turnaround ? Thanks Nick
